Principal's Message

Moon Mountain provides a challenging learning atmosphere for your child. The staff members create a classroom climate that meets the needs of all learners while providing them with outstanding educational opportunities.

We welcome you to become actively involved in your child’s education through volunteering in the classroom, involvement with PTSA and serving on various school and District committees. We urge you to make contact with your child’s teachers early in the year and communicate with them regularly. My office is always open, and I am happy to make time to talk with parents and students regarding any concerns or questions you may have. Thank you for sharing your children with us.

School Philosophy

We believe our school exists for the sole purpose of providing the best possible educational atmosphere and instructional program to meet the needs of our students.

We, as a staff, strive to recognize individual differences in children’s learning abilities and behaviors and have structured an educational program to meet these needs.

We believe it is necessary to present a curriculum that is broadly based and well developed in all subject areas and which imparts specific skills as well as the appropriate application of those skills.

It is our goal to provide opportunities for parent and citizen involvement and participation in the educational process.

We believe that it is imperative for students to accept responsibility for their actions and for parents to be supportive of the school in order for the educational process to be successful.
